Description :
  • Utilize best-in-class talent acquisition methodologies, with a focus on professionals passionate about Indigenous communities
  • In collaboration with HR leadership, business leaders, and the Talent Acquisition team, understand key business issues and develop appropriate recruitment strategies to proactively identify, source, and screen candidates to develop talent pipelines
  • Manage the overall candidate experience to ensure it is professional, positive, and reflective of MNP values from hiring manager initiation through to verbal offer management
  • Deliver an inclusive and culturally sensitive recruitment approach by demonstrating a deep understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures, values, and traditions
  • Assess candidate’s technical qualifications, skills, and aptitudes against role requirements
  • Proactively guide and coach hiring leaders through the hiring process and interview techniques
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with candidates, networks, hiring managers, educational institutions, Indigenous organizations, and other third parties 
  • Utilize recruitment technology to elevate success and speed of recruitment activities
  • Maintain an active presence at in-person events, on LinkedIn, and relevant social media platforms to further build the Firm’s presence and reputation with Indigenous communities
  • Report internal metrics, benchmark practices with industry standards, and make recommendations on market trends
  • Act as an advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusions (DE&I) within the Firm
Requirements :
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recruiting experience with three (3) years recruiting talent passionate about Indigenous communities or personally working closely with Indigenous communities
  • Proven experience utilizing a wide range of recruitment sourcing tools and practices to identify prospective candidates (e.g., profile databases, advanced Boolean, collaboration forums, networking opportunities, and social media platforms)
  • Successful track record negotiating offers and selling company values and rewards to candidates
  • Knowledge of Indigenous employment guidelines considered an asset
